Roasting
Lazy Sunday is an easy roast that is pleasant on the palate. It mellows and becomes warm to your senses. The cocoa influences from Latin America smooth the brew whilst Africa brings citrus hints to add balance. The result is a cup which can be enjoyed by itself or with cakes, milk chocolate or other sweets. It would complement lemon drizzle cakes and vanilla sponges.
When making this coffee, we recommend using the French Press method, preheating your vessel using some of the boil water to ensure it is warm and ready to brew. After making the coffee, let it sit for 4 minutes. This will ensure that the grounds are saturated and are not over-extracted. The water should be pushed through with the plunger. Don't stir or agitate your coffee as this can cause unpleasant ingredients to appear in the cup.
Strength - 3 is soft and easygoing, great for lazy weekends.
Storage
Lazy Sunday is a smoky light roast with an uplifting citrus and cocoa aroma. It has a smooth mouthfeel that sooths the palette. The cocoa-like notes can be traced back to a winters day spent on the sofa with a good book and an embrace from the family. To brew the coffee first heat your French Press with off boil water. This will prevent the coffee from being over extracted and causing undesirable elements in the drink. Then add your grounds and 250ml of water that is off the boil. Steep for 4 minutes then plunge and enjoy.
